The location of the annual meeting of the SASS rotates between the states included in the Section. Often the meeting is held in conjunction with another meeting such as the presentation of Virginia Department of Environmental Quality Advisory Board Reports or an A&WMA Specialty Conference. Last year's meeting was held in conjunction with the annual Environmental Protection Agency's Information Exchange. For this reason, the month in which the meeting occurs is variable, but it is usually in the late fall.
